1. Visit a new state
I’ve lived in 5 states and visited 42. Often times, I get so busy planning international trips that I forget the amazing things my own country has to offer. In 2019, I want to visit one new US state. I’m leaning towards Hawaii or New Hampshire (peeping?).

2. Get PADI certified
I’ve been to dozens of diving paradises…. and I don’t dive. I always enjoy snorkeling but I can’t help but think about how much better diving might be. There are a few options to get certified here in Houston (and even some discounts available on Groupon!).

3. Learn a little Spanish
I’ve studied French since I was 14. Even after a summer in Spain, my Spanish is… not great. Maybe a trip to Mexico will help motivate me to study? Do you have any app suggestions for learning a new language?

4. Take More Texas Road Trips
My own state, Texas, is twice as large as Japan. I’ve been dying to explore more of West Texas and I’m hoping I can squeeze in a trip to Big Bend or Marfa in 2019.
5. Start Blogging
Even though I started this blog a little early in December 2018, this little blog is my biggest resolution of the year!

I highly, highly recommend Hawaii! I feel like I’d be there all the time if it was part of my country! (I’m from Australia!) It’s one of my favourite places in the world, and I’ve written about it quite a bit on our blog if you need some tips! Lots of good luck for blogging in 2019, I’ll be following along on your journey! – Laura
